Description
ABR Disposable Classroom Glasses (Didymium-Coated Plastic Lenses)
Perfect for demos, classes, and short viewing sessions, ABR Disposable Classroom Glasses give students and spectators a safer way to watch glassblowing and flameworking demonstrations without needing to share personal eyewear. They feature didymium-coated plastic lenses designed to help reduce the intense glare and brightness commonly produced during hot glass work.
Important safety note: These glasses are intended for temporary, short-term viewing only. Because the lenses are coated plastic (not coated glass), they do not protect as well as didymium-coated glass lenses and are not recommended for long-term wear or regular torchwork. For extended use or working at the torch, we strongly recommend upgrading to proper didymium-coated glass eyewear for better optical clarity and protection.
Best for:
- Classroom and studio demonstrations
- Group events and workshops
- Guest viewing and “try-it” sessions
- A convenient disposable option for spectators
Not intended for:
- Long-duration use
- Daily shop wear
- Primary eye protection for working at the torch
